Catherine Élise Blanchett, μια εκρηκτική γυναίκα
Η Cate Blanchett, γεννήθηκε στις 14 Μαΐου το 1969 στην Αυστραλία και είναι μία πολυβραβευμένη ηθοποιός. 
Η Cate γεννήθηκε στην Μελβούρνη, μέσα σε μια αυστηρή και ήσυχη οικογένεια, αφού ο πατέρας ήταν στο ναυτικό και η μητέρα της δασκάλα.
Στα 10 της έχασε τον πατέρα της και έμεινε με την μητέρα της και τα δυο της αδέρφια. Η μικρότερη αδελφή της μάλιστα ασχολείται με τον χώρο του θεάτρου ως σκηνογράφος.
Η ίδια σπούδασε οικονομικά και τέχνες στο πανεπιστήμιο της Μελβούρνης και στην συνέχεια πήγε στην Αυστραλία και παρακολούθησε μαθήματα υποκριτικής, όπου αποφοίτησε το 1992 και ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της στο θέατρο.
